What is Patient Registration?
Patient Registrars are the personnel who meet every patient that comes through LMH. Registrars gather all the patient information that is needed to process their visit from demographics and employer information to the reason for their visit, and of course health insurance. They verify it and collect their copayments.
Patients come in for or through the emergency room, radiology dept, pre admission testing, physical therapy, same day surgicals, and other out patient procedures. All of these patients are greeted by the patient registration staff.
First impressions are a key part of our patient’s experience. Our patient registrars take pride in their work; greet every patient with courtesy and respect. They understand the importance of getting patient’s processed quickly and onto their appointment or treatment.
Registration Representatives service several areas of the hospital including:
Central Registration
where you would register for all Emergency visits, Outpatient procedures including Physical Therapy, admission to the hospital for medical/surgical reasons, Obstetrics, and Same Day Surgery.
Pre admission testing
where you would come in prior to a scheduled surgical procedure to complete required paperwork.
Radiology
where you would come in for all radiology procedures.
Centralized Scheduling
is a new addition to the facility to accommodate patients who need to schedule appointments for radiology to have one phone number to call with other areas being added in the near future.
